Welcome to Siddhant Campus, under Faculty of Forestry (FOF), Hetauda, Makawanpur of Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitwan. As the Director, it is my great pride and privilege to introduce you to a community of professionals with a sincere commitment to Natural Resource Management.
Growing populations are putting pressure on forests, and climate change is making trees more vulnerable to fires and migrating pests. Carbon management and urban forestry are the emerging need and challenges for forestry professionals. Along with managing and promoting forest ecosystems while making them available for human use, the current generation of professionals needs to educate the generalists and address the real-world problems of natural resource sustainability and protect the planet. It is therefore, there has never been a pressing need for forestry professionals than now. We would like to thank Faculty of Forestry (FOF), Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) for granting us the privilege to tailor professionals, who will nurture the nature and ourselves.
Currently, we are running eight-semester (four-year) B.Sc. Forestry course (affiliated to AFU) for the aspiring students. Drawing upon my experience of teaching and mentoring students of various degrees for decades, I with the team of highly motivated and accomplished faculty and staff, commit to provide state of art education that has a strong blend of teaching, field practice and research components. My administration shall continue to make every effort to ensure best possible teaching and learning environment. Our institution is a learning community that seeks success for each student as we strive to deepen our core values: discipline, life-long learning, respect and responsibility. Parents are valued partners in our educational system and are encouraged to visit the campus, consult with the faculty members and campus management in regular interval of time.
We are struggling community- committed to contribute to the community, nation and the planet to tailor graduate foresters who can deal with the pressing issues of forest operations, urban forestry, wildlife and biodiversity conservation and management, natural resource sustainability, carbon management, climate change, etc. I would like to welcome aspiring candidates desirous of a unique learning experience and high quality forestry education and professionals willing to join or collaborate with Siddhant Campus.
